General Settings
The General settings page lets administrators configure organisation-wide defaults for the AskSenseOps experience. These defaults determine the initial landing page after sign-in, the default chat mode, and whether thinking details are displayed in chat.
Individual users who have already configured their own preferences retain those choices.
Accessing General Settings
- Sign in to AskSenseOps using an administrator account.
- Open Admin from the navigation sidebar.
- Select General under the System section.
After Sign-in
The After sign-in section controls the default page users see when they open AskSenseOps without a direct link.
Default Landing Page
Use the Default landing page dropdown to select the page that users see after signing in.
The available default shown in the interface is Auto (recommended). The setting applies organisation-wide when users sign in without a specific link. Direct links take precedence over this default.
Chat Defaults
The Chat defaults section configures how new conversations start and how much of the agent's working is displayed.
Default Chat Mode
Use the Default chat mode dropdown to choose the initial mode for new conversations.
The available options are:
- Auto (recommended): Uses the recommended automatic mode.
- Lite: Starts new conversations in Lite mode.
- Deep: Starts new conversations in Deep mode.
This setting determines the initial mode for users who have not already selected a preference. Users who have previously configured their chat mode retain their choice.
Show Thinking
The Show thinking setting controls whether the chat interface displays the reasoning trail and Query details.
- On: Displays the reasoning trail and Query details in chat.
- Off: Hides these details from the chat interface.
Administrators can enable or disable this setting to establish the organisation-wide default.
Saving and Applying Settings
Configure the required options on the General settings page. The interface applies organisation-wide defaults while preserving individual preferences where applicable.
